The Open Innovation Program from Seegene invites research groups with experience in PCR, in performing clinical studies, and with access to clinical specimens to join the program. The program offers research grants of up to 600,000 USD per project to perform clinical studies for defined target pathogens, including:
- Infectious Diseases
- Infectious Diseases: Respiratory Infections
- Vector-borne Diseases
- Drug Resistance
Seegene will perform product design, development planning, and feasibility studies while the recipients will propose any necessary revisions of this product design, and conduct preclinical and clinical studies for validation. Application is open to research groups worldwide with at least 2 or more researchers with experience in PCR molecular diagnostics, have access to a laboratory with BSL-2 (biosafety level-2) or higher, capable of performing the proposed clinical trial. Applicants must be affiliated with a university, research institution, and clinical laboratory, or other similar organization, may be based in any country (except for those under international sanctions).
