Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Grant – ELSI (alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency | worldwide)
The Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Grant - ELSI funded by the Alpha-1 Foundation supports postdoctoral researchers worldwide working on the Ethical, Legal, and Social Issues (ELSI) Relating to Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency and its related rare disease. Proposals may come from a broad spectrum of disciplines, including humanities, social and natural sciences, and health professions. This grant mechanism seeks to support the development of novel approaches relating to informed consent, conflicts of interest, organ allocation, genetic testing and/or genetic discrimination, but applications may address all of the following or other related areas. Funding of 75,000 USD/year is available for 2 years (no indirect costs).
This is an annual award and the next letters of intent are due September 29, 2023 and invited full applications are due February 2, 2024.
