The Research Grants funded by the Alpha-1 Foundation provide funding for researchers worldwide studying the basic biology of alpha-1 antitrypsin (AAT) expression, and the pathogenesis / management of rare disease caused by AAT deficiency. Applicants may apply for up to 100,000 USD/year for 2 years (no indirect costs).

This is an annual award and the next letters of intent are due September 29, 2023 and invited full applications are due February 2, 2024.
