The Research Council of Finland (RCF)–NSF joint call for 2024 on artificial intelligence and/or wireless communication technologies is a collaborative initiative from the Research Council of Finland (RCF) and the National Science Foundation (NSF), wherein applicants from both countries will work together on a single proposal. This call supports collaboration in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and/or wireless communication technologies. The proposals must advance the goal of the Finnish Flagship Programme.
RCF welcomes applications from individual research teams or consortia composed of two or more research teams based in Finnish research organizations. Eligible proposals must have a minimum of one applicant from Finland and the U.S.A, and both countries should have significant research participation. The principal investigator (PI) of the proposed project must have a doctoral degree and significant scientific merits and a close connection with Finland.
The grant allows for a maximum budget of 500,000 EUR for a three-year project. The next LOI and final deadlines are March 4, 2024, and March 31, 2024, respectively. The final proposal needs to be submitted to the NSF after the issuance of the ‘Confirmation of Eligibility for Funding’ letter from the RCF.
