Starter Grants for Clinical Lecturers (UK)

The Starter Grants for Clinical Lecturers from the Academy of Medical Sciences supports research-active clinical lecturers in the UK to prepare for long-term funding. Applicants must:

1.   Have a PhD or MD.

2.   Hold a medical, dental or veterinary undergraduate degree and be registered with the General Medical Council, General Dental Council or Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

3.   Hold a clinical contract at a UK institution.

The Grant provides 30,000 GBP for 1 – 2 years. Funding may be used for directly incurred research costs, including (but not limited to) consumables, access charges, access to data sets, essential software and licences, and equipment.

There are two assessment rounds per year. The next applications close on March 10, 2023.
