The Litwin IBD Pioneers initiative from the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation provides funding for innovative clinical and translational research projects with the potential to impact the treatment of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in the near future. The program encourages innovative research that would lead to improvements for patient outcomes, including research to test hypotheses and generate preliminary data. The program is also open to investigators from other disciplines who are new to IBD research and open to researchers around the world. Applicants may apply for up to 130,000 USD in funding for projects spanning up to 2 years (including indirect costs).
There are two assessment rounds per year – the next application closing dates are as follows:
- Letters of intent: May 6, 2024.
