The Visionary Grants from the American Psychological Foundation (APF) support research, education and intervention projects and programs that use psychology to solve social problems in a number of priority areas, including:

  • applying psychology to at-risk, vulnerable populations;
  • preventing violence;
  • understanding the connection between behavior and health;
  • understanding and eliminating stigma and prejudice furthering racial equity:

Applicants must:

  • be a graduate student or early career researcher (no more than 10 years postdoctoral)
  • be affiliated with an educational or scientific institution, a nonprofit charitable, organization, or a governmental entity operating exclusively for charitable and educational purposes
  • have demonstrated competence and capacity to execute the proposed work

Applicants may be based in the USA and worldwide.

The Grant provides 20,000 USD (no indirect costs).
