The Free Family Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) Award from the Foundation Fighting Blindness supports team research efforts to better understand the cause of AMD lesions and early AMD pathobiology.  This award will include two PIs who are jointly responsible for the scientific and technical direction of the project, thereby leveraging a team science approach. Multidisciplinary projects are highly encouraged. Principal Investigators must hold an M.D., D.M.D., D.V.M., D.O., Ph.D. or recognized foreign equivalent and occupy a faculty position or equivalent position at a college, university, medical school, or other public or private research institution/facility. Applications are open to researchers in the USA and worldwide. Applicants may apply for up to 200,000 USD/year over 3 years (no indirect costs).

The next letters of intent are due on October 5, 2023 and invited full applications are due on January 5, 2024.
