The Individual Investigator Research/Clinical Innovation Awards from the Foundation Fighting Blindness provides funding support for individual researchers worldwide working on improving our understanding and developing cures for inherited orphan retinal degenerative diseases and dry age-related macular degeneration, including clinical innovations in these areas. Applicants may apply for up to 100,000 USD/year for up to 3 years (no indirect costs). Applicants must submit a letter of intent prior to submitting a full application based on a positive response from the Foundation. The next letters of intent are due on October 27, 2022 and invited full applications are due on March 7, 2023.
