Postdoctoral Fellowship (USA cancer research)

The Postdoctoral Fellowships from the American Cancer Society provides funding for doctoral graduates within 3 years of graduation to continue their training in cancer research, including basic, preclinical, clinical, cancer control, psychosocial, behavioral, epidemiology, health services and health policy research. Fellowships are available for US citizens and permanent residents. The Fellowship provides 3 years of stipend funding starting at 52,000 USD/year, plus  4,000 USD a year to help defray costs such as health insurance, workshop costs, and expenses associated with presenting at a domestic scientific meeting. Recipients may elect  a minimum of 4 weeks a year, up to 12 weeks, for paid maternity/paternity leave for births and adoptions. There are two assessment rounds per year, with closing dates on April 1 and October 15. The next applications close on April 1, 2023.
